Audio: Jazmine Sullivan ft. Meek Mill "Dumb"

 
After a four-year hiatus, Jazmine Sullivan returns with fellow Philly native Meek Mill for her new ill-boding themed single. The songstress combines her rhapsodic vocals with enclosed percussion beaters that create a robust melodic production, sampling Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ notable tune, “Heads Will Roll” The mid-tempo track is also adorned with lyricism that reminds Sullivan’s suitor not to mistake her kindness for weakness:
I thought we were supposed to be straight
No more games, I believed
So what I hate the most is you think you’re too smart
You think you fooled me
Boy, you must be DUMB DUMB DUMB
Meek plays the role of Jasmine’s beau, who attempts to counteract his indecent behavior with reaffirming truths and his desire for good-intention.
