Drake
draws an interference from Hot 97′s Summer Jam 2014 with the release of
his new track, “0-100/The Catch Up.” The cut offers production from
Boi-1DA with assists from 40 and Nineteen85. The banger opens with a
confident Drizzy spitting lyrical librettos behind heavy bass utensils
and sedative synths. Midway through the melody, Drake transitions into
his introspective lexicon, where he teases forthcoming next year spring
releases from his OVO Sounds Camp including PARTYNEXTDOOR, Reps Up P,
Majid Jordan, OB, and himself. The ending of “The Catch Up” appears to
feature looped vocal work from James Blake, but the sample has not yet been confirmed.
