Audio: Drake "0-100/ The Catch Up," Produced by Boi-1DA co-production from 40 & Ninteen85

Drake draws an interference from Hot 97′s Summer Jam 2014 with the release of his new track, “0-100/The Catch Up.” The cut offers production from Boi-1DA with assists from 40 and Nineteen85. The banger opens with a confident Drizzy spitting lyrical librettos behind heavy bass utensils and sedative synths. Midway through the melody, Drake transitions into his introspective lexicon, where he teases forthcoming next year spring releases from his OVO Sounds Camp including PARTYNEXTDOOR, Reps Up P, Majid Jordan, OB, and himself. The ending of “The Catch Up” appears to feature looped vocal work from James Blake, but the sample has not yet been confirmed.

PARTYNEXTDOOR- West District (Audio)

While Drake spends his days in the east, OVO Sound signee PARTYNEXTDOOR takes listeners through a late-night rendezvous in the West District. After co-producing Drake’s “Days in the East,” alongside Noah “40” Shebib, PARTYNEXTDOOR remixes the track with auto-tune induced sounds and sentimental yet rugged lyricism. Entitled “West District,” PARTYNEXTDOOR channels his emotional side with hopes to transform a one-night-stand into forever.

“I don’t want it just tonight, I want forever I don’t only want that shit tonight, I want that shit forever You can make the story better, make it last forever”

With subtle baselines and melodious undertones, PARTYNEXTDOOR exposes listeners’ to a night of drugs, drinks, and strippers- while cautioning anyone making assumptions. PARTYNEXTDOOR creates a visual storyboard for his late-nights in the West, but manages to maintain signature OVO Sounds. In one word: dope. For more PARTYNEXTDOOR check out partyomo.com

Drizzy Drake Makes Wishes Come True: Terminally Ill Teen Receives Visit from Hip-Hop Rapper

Hip-Hop sensation Drizzy Drake got the chance to bask in the presence of a very special young woman this weekend in Houston, Texas. After falling victim to an inoperable brain cancer, 15-year-old Kennedy Brown was forced out of her Carnegie Vanguard high school due to her terminal illness. In addition to arranging a prom and graduation for the teen, Kennedy’s friends united through social media to gain Drizzy’s attention employing the hashtag #KenforDrake. Once Drizzy took note of Kennedy’s story, the rapper said he would surprise Kennedy with a personalized video, but an even bigger surprise occurred when the Toronto native stopped by Kennedy’s Houston home for a special visit. Drake shared his experience via Instagram with smiling photos and captions that read “incredible day,” and “I am so happy.” After being granted  access to touch Drizzy’s infamous eyebrows, Kennedy received an extra special kiss on the cheek from Mr. Debonair and the initial hashtag #KenforDrake transformed into something even better….#DrakeforKen. Who said rappers can’t make wishes come true? Check out the shared photos below.
