Alternative-R&B tunesmith Steven A. Clark has a flair for sublime production and eloquent lyricism. This month marks the release of his ingenious three-track Late EP, a paradigm of R&B electro-soul intertwined with contemporary pop undertones.
The project opener “Lonely Roller” is an alluring vibration of
rousing guitar riffs accompanied by sensual mantras. Clark’s second cut
“Just Ride” is a mid-tempo R&B groove patterned with planetary
soundscapes and resolute croons. His final track “Seashore” is a wistful
stream of anthem-like timbres impassioned with hopeful restorations.
