Earlier this year, Los-Angeles based singer-songwriter King avriel has shared a compelling tale in her track “Caricatures.” Now with the help of Noisey, the 23-year-old songstress returns with the official visuals for the Fox & Mule-produced alt-R&B melody. The pictorials open with the defined meaning of caricatures before fading into achromatic hues & sounds of enchanting guitar. Directed by Nano, the visuals display a nude Avriel, pairing her sensuous falsettos behind abstract imagery and intimate reflections. Avriel explains the meaning behind her nudity:
“We chose what we want to see. With this, you have three choices; to see me as a body, to see me as a mind, or to see me as a complex amalgamation of both. Whether I am fully a human or simply a caricature depends entirely on your vantage point.”The haunting clip delivers an enthralling depiction to accompany her reminiscence lyricism before concluding with an unforeseen peculiarity.
